While Blue Man Group’s striking style and quirky humor is part of the fun, it is important to point out that they are also brilliant percussionists. The iconic Vegas entertainers play drums that are out of this world.
Two of the most unique instruments in their performances are the Drum Phoenix and Smoke Drums. The Drum Phoenix is an instrument co-created with designer Michael Curry featuring percussion wings that expand and move like robotic arms. The Smoke Drums release a series of enchanting smoke rings out into the audience to the beat of the music. Other wild drums they play are Paint Drums, Drumbone and Big Drum.
