Fat Tuesday Las Vegas: Where To Get Sin City’s Biggest Drinks

Las Vegas is a sultry place to be in the summer. With temperatures reaching up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, going outside is almost out of the question. Besides visiting the Vegas Strip pools, what do Las Vegas visitors do to escape the sun?

There’s one way to stand the heat when snapping the best pictures in Las Vegas. This beverage has helped millions of visitors quench their thirst and party hard for years. That drink is Fat Tuesday, AKA the baton-sized drinks often spotted on the Strip.

Not every Fat Tuesday is located inside a resort or one of the hotels on the strip. To find the closest one to you, check out our Las Vegas Strip map 2023.

What is a Fat Tuesday?

Besides Vegas, some of the best parties in the world start in New Orleans. The aptly-named Fat Tuesday daiquiri franchise got its start in that illustrious city, named after the annual Mardi Gras celebration. The geniuses behind these frozen delights have been making bigger and better concoctions since 1983, and there are over three dozen locations in US cities across the country. It has earned a place among the best bars in Las Vegas.

Enjoy Fat Tuesday Las Vegas

Anyone that loves a Slurpee from 7-11 will enjoy these. A Fat Tuesday is the alcoholic version of a slushie, served in cups that start at 22 ounces and cap at the 100 oz Yard Dog. There are eight cup sizes and several mixtures to try.

There are two ways to order. Get a single flavor from the list or order a combination of two or more, to create your own unique frozen drink. The flavors to choose from belong in two groups: the 190 Octane Squad and The Entourage.

Cherry and green apple flavors live in the Squad, along with the orange-heavy original 190 Octane flavor. Flavors like mango and piña colada belong in The Entourage. Other flavors have several components such as Electric Lemonade, which consists of blue raspberry flavor, limeade and rum. Other Entourage flavors include strawberry, piña colada, margarita and fun duos like amaretto and pineapple.

Mix and match your flavors for some truly tantalizing creations. Popular combos include Pimp Juice, which mixes Cat 5 Hurricane and Mango, and Jet Fuel is a trifecta of the three originals.

Pro tip: The best way to drink a Fat Tuesday is with an extra shot. With so many flavors and combinations, the cherry on top could be a bit more vodka and tequila to round out that Electric Lemonade. Purchase an extra shot for $1, or one of their Jell-O shots for a few extra dollars.
