Las Vegas is known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World” for a reason. It provides a wide variety of entertainment, spanning from circus acts to comedians. When one thinks of the Las Vegas Strip, nothing is more classic than the magic show. From David Copperfield to Criss Angel, here are the top nine magic shows on the Strip.

Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented

This magic show is one of the newest on the Las Vegas Strip and is located on the third floor of The LINQ. A newcomer to the magic scene, Mat Franco was a finalist on the popular America’s Got Talent competition. Despite this, he makes up for his newness with a personality that oozes charisma. He knows how to draw an audience’s attention by way of their participation and humor. His enthusiasm for the craft also shows as he makes every experience he shares with audiences personal and full of heart. In short, this 90-minute show is sure to mystify.

Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented runs Monday through Saturday starting at 7 p.m.

Shin Lim: Limitless

Another America’s Got Talent alum, Shin Lim is the only person to have ever won the reality competition twice. Redefining the way close-up magic is performed entirely, Shin Lim uses sleight of hand, digital artistry and choreographed precision to create an entertaining experience that is very out-of-the-box when it comes to a Vegas magic show.

This 90 minute show can be found at The Mirage on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays starting at 7:30 p.m. Colin Cloud, dubbed the Real Life Sherlock Holmes, performs alongside Shin Lim as a special guest of the show. 

Mac King Comedy Magic Show

Currently the longest-running one-man show in the history of Las Vegas, Mac King has been enchanting and entertaining audiences since January 2000.

Looking for some laughs with your magic? Mac King is a master of comedy magic. In this 70-minute show at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, expect amazing antics like catching live goldfish out of mid-air and sleight-of-hands tricks with a side of clever jokes and impeccable comedic timing.

Catch Mac King Tuesdays through Saturdays starting at 3 p.m. with additional 1 p.m. shows from April 12-16 to June 14-30.

Criss Angel MINDFREAK

This world-famous magician is best known for his viral YouTube videos and subsequent show that mystified fans for more than a decade. This fully immersive illusionary experience opened in December 2018 and is located in Planet Hollywood. Fans can expect more than 75 of Criss’s iconic illusions from his hit television show and brand new inventive acts that are never-before-seen.

Criss Angel can be witnessed Wednesdays through Sundays at 7 p.m.

David Copperfield

On the outside of MGM Grand, guests can clearly see the face of this next iconic magician. A notable household name, David Copperfield is considered the greatest illusionist of all time by the likes of Oprah Winfrey.

With past TV stints and a declaration of “the greatest illusionist of our time,” David Copperfield has toured the world and dazzled audiences while living up to his legacy.

David Copperfield can be seen Tuesday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. with an additional 4 p.m. show on Saturdays.

Piff the Magic Dragon

Another magician that won the hearts of many through America’s Got Talent, this mystifyingly funny man performs his jaw-dropping tricks in a dragon suit along with his trusty chihuahua sidekick. Mr. Piffles is supposedly the world’s only magic performing chihuahua and you can see him life. Audiences can expect to be wow’d with routines that defy the odds and conjuring tricks that put a twists on the traditional magic show.

Catch Piff Thursdays through Mondays starting at 7 p.m. at Flamingo Las Vegas.

Penn and Teller

This iconic duo has been mystifying the Las Vegas Strip and beyond since 2001. One of the longest and most-beloved headline acts in Las Vegas history, Penn and Teller have also been seen on their hit series as well as completing a sold-out run on Broadway. Known as the “Bad Boys of Magic,” they are known for revealing their tricks but still leaving crowds baffled. Audience members can expect large-scale illusions, classic sideshow routines and amazing sleight-of-hand tricks as well as hilariously edgy and provocative humor.

Penn and Teller can be see gracing the showroom of the Rio Hotel and Casino Thursdays through Sundays starting at 9 p.m.

Xavier Mortimer: The Dream Maker

Winning Best Magic Show of Las Vegas from 2018 to 2020, this magician is absolutely rooted in the city. At Bally’s, this former Cirque du Soleil performer transported audience members into an immersive dream world of his creation where physics and logic do not apply.

His 70-minute dream sequence can now be found at The STRAT Hotel, Casino, and SkyPod starting at 6 p.m.
