What Makes Terry Fator’s Las Vegas Show an Absolute Must-See?

Posted by on

If you’ve ever wondered how one man can sing, entertain, and breathe life into puppet characters, you need to experience Terry Fator in concert. This Vegas legend is currently dazzling crowds with his new show, “Terry Fator: One Man, a Hundred Voices, a Thousand Laughs!” at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower. But what makes

Terry’s show so special and why is Las Vegas the perfect place for his residency? We chatted with Terry about his career, the show and why he loves performing in Las Vegas.

Terry Fator

A Journey Built on Laughter and Dedication

Terry Fator won America’s Got Talent in 2007, impressing judges and fans alike with his voice, comedy and ventriloquism skills. Simon Cowell called him one of the “two most talented people on the planet” and we agree. Since his AGT win, Terry has been performing in Las Vegas for over 15 years and has become one of the city’s most beloved entertainers.

Terry’s new show at The STRAT is a great representation of his talents, featuring comedy, music, impressions and ventriloism. It’s a trip down memory lane with songs from the 1940s to today, as well as a few impressions of famous celebrities. The show is perfect for the whole family, a rarity in a city filled with adult-oriented entertainment options.

The Magic of “Terry Fator: One Man, a Hundred Voices, a Thousand Laughs!”

Terry’s new show was designed specifically with the intimate setting of The STRAT in mind.

“It’s a great vehicle for comedy, music, impersonations and just a fun show for all ages,”

he says.

But it’s not all laughs. Terry’s show features state-of-the-art graphics and multimedia elements that bring the performance to life. Imagine one of his puppets flying above the stage during a powerful rendition of Defying Gravity–it’s that kind of magic that sets Terry apart from other entertainers.

Terry is always looking to the future and coming up with new ways to amaze his audience. He’s also gifted: able to sing in hundreds of voices without moving his lips.

From Libraries to Las Vegas

Terry’s journey as a ventriloquist began in a library when he was a teenager. He found a book on ventriloism by Paul Winchell and was hooked. He practiced religiously, even when it wasn’t cool in school.

“I was a teenage boy who was a ventriloquist, not exactly the coolest thing,”

he laughs. But hard work and dedication paid off and he moved from local fairs and school gigs to the big top.

The Show’s Secret Ingredient: Entertainment

Many shows, especially in today’s society, have a message or agenda behind them. Not Terry’s. “I’ve never been one of those guys who has a message or preaches or lectures,” he says. “I’m just there to entertain. There’s no message, no agenda, no politics. It’s just entertainment.”

Terry’s comedy inspirations are legends Jerry Lewis and Carol Burnett, while the Muppets are his puppetting inspiration. You can see and hear that in his show.

Las Vegas: The Perfect Home for a Performer

Las Vegas and Terry Fator are a match made in entertainment heaven. “Vegas has something for everyone, great food, amazing shows and more,” he says. But it’s the people that live here that Terry loves the most. “It’s a community, we’re a family here.”

When he’s not on stage, Terry likes to stay home with his wife Angie and watch Hallmark movies. But his mind is always racing with new ideas for the show.

Connecting with Fans

Terry is a kind man who is loved by his fans. He’s especially grateful for the military and first responders who serve our country. One time, someone covered his dinner bill in a restaurant as a thank you for honoring veterans through his music. Moments like that touch his heart and remind him why he keeps doing what he does.

Why You Can’t Miss Terry Fator in Las Vegas

If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas, do not miss Terry Fator: One Man, a Hundred Voices, a Thousand Laughs! The show is a great mix of comedy, music and talent and is perfect for the whole family. If Vegas isn’t in your future, Terry tours across the country every other weekend.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to his music, Terry’s show is proof that laughter is the best medicine.
