If you’re in the firearms or ammunition business, chances are SHOT Show is already on your radar. It’s the kind of event where deals are made, innovations are unveiled, and the industry comes together to share ideas. Running from January 21 to 24, 2025, this year’s SHOT Show in Las Vegas is pulling out all the stops. Bigger and better than ever, it promises to bring together over 50,000 professionals from across the globe to talk everything firearms and outdoor gear.
Whether you’re a manufacturer, retailer, or part of law enforcement, SHOT Show isn’t just another trade show—it’s the event for the $8.9 billion firearms and ammunition industry.
SHOT Show 2025 Is Bigger Than Ever
This year’s show, organised by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and produced by ConvExx, is taking over two major venues: the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. Together, these spaces cover a jaw-dropping 830,000 square feet—that’s like 14 football fields packed with gear, gadgets, and everything in between.
What’s even more impressive? The 2,800 exhibitors set to attend. That’s up from 2024, which already set a high bar. The variety is immense, with everything from hunting rifles to tactical equipment on display, and exhibitors are flying in from over 100 countries and all 50 U.S. states.
Chris Dolnack, Senior Vice President at NSSF, explained the approach to attendance: “We expect that attendance will be in the 53,000 to 55,000 range… our exhibitors have expressed their appreciation for the quality of attendee.” In short, they’re focusing on getting the right crowd in, not just big numbers.
The law enforcement section: Small start, big impact
One of the coolest parts of SHOT Show? The Law Enforcement section, which has grown massively over the years. When it launched 20 years ago, it was just a 7,000-square-foot corner of the event. Now? It’s a 170,000-square-foot powerhouse showcasing cutting-edge tools and tech for police, military, and security professionals.
Think body armour, surveillance gear, and all the latest innovations aimed at keeping law enforcement one step ahead. This section’s rapid growth is proof that SHOT Show isn’t just about hunting rifles anymore—it’s catering to all corners of the industry.
SHOT Show eXtra: A second chance for exhibitors
For companies that didn’t snag a spot on the main show floor, there’s SHOT Show eXtra, a bonus exhibit space on Level 5 of the Venetian. It’s a bit like the “overflow parking” of trade shows, but with a polished setup that includes everything exhibitors need: tables, badges, listings in event guides, and even lunch!
This area will be open on Wednesday and Thursday, giving attendees an extra chance to discover new products and connect with smaller or emerging brands. With over 200 new exhibitors signed up, it’s clear this add-on space is a hit.
After-hours fun with SHOT After Dark
Las Vegas is famous for its nightlife, so it’s no surprise that SHOT Show leans into this with its SHOT After Dark program. Badge holders can unwind after long days of networking by hitting some of the city’s hottest nightclubs or mingling at relaxed mixers.
Dolnack highlighted how popular this feature has become, saying, “Our SHOT After Dark program continues to grow in popularity and participation.” Whether you’re in it for the networking or just need to blow off some steam, SHOT After Dark is making sure attendees have plenty to do once the expo doors close.
Why SHOT show matters
For those who’ve never attended, SHOT Show might just sound like another trade show. But it’s not. This is where the firearms and outdoor industries come together to shape the future. It’s where deals get done, partnerships are forged, and the latest tech is put in the spotlight.
Events like the SHOT University sessions add an educational layer, covering everything from compliance to best business practices. For an industry with so many moving parts, having this kind of learning opportunity is invaluable.
What else is happening in Las Vegas this week?
If SHOT Show wasn’t enough, World of Concrete—another massive trade show—is happening just down the road. Running from January 20 to 23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, it’s focused on construction and features 750,000 square feet of exhibits and over 180 educational sessions.
So, yeah—Las Vegas is buzzing this week, and SHOT Show is leading the charge.
Whether you’re attending to network, discover new products, or just soak up the energy of the industry, SHOT Show 2025 is set to be a milestone event. And with so much to see and do, the real challenge might just be fitting it all in.
