Las Vegas is all about milestones, and few entertainers have reached the milestone of 55 incredible years in Vegas like headliner Renee Hale. From her first show at the Frontier Hotel in 1970 to her latest production at Red Rock Resort, Hale’s non-stop career is a walking timeline of Las Vegas entertainment. On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, she performed to a packed house at Red Rock with her high-energy production show, Renee’s Las Vegas Legends.

A Trip Down Memory Lane
Hale’s show is a love letter to classic Vegas entertainment. She delighted the crowd with charming stories, including the time she saw Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland perform an impromptu 3 a.m. set at the Flamingo Lounge. The afternoon’s festivities also included special appearances by Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie, Jordan Lee and Brooke Wilkes, adding some modern flair to this nostalgic trip through Vegas history.
Renee’s Las Vegas Legends performs at 2 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Red Rock Resort. The show is free to the public and a true local Summerlin treasure.
Another Trump Impersonation Bites the Dust
While Hale’s show looked back on Vegas history, another entertainment institution rode off into the sunset. John Di Domenico, who has mastered a hilarious Donald Trump impersonation, exited his role on The Howard Stern Show. Di Domenico has been playing Trump since 2020 and made one last appearance as the former president during Election Night 2024. He wrapped his run with a visit to see Carrot Top at the Luxor.
Di Domenico’s exit from the role allows Stern to focus on quicker impressions from newer guys like Austin Nasso, but our Dr. Phil doesn’t hesitate long when it comes to new opportunities. He’s also been booked as Guy Fieri for corporate events.
Loud and Proud
The weekend was alive with live music on the Strip. 50 Cent brought his rap sound to PH Live at The Linq on Friday night. David Perrico and the Raiders House Band wrapped their season at Ellis Island’s Front Yard on Saturday night. The band’s 17th show of the season coincided with the NFL finale. Perrico’s big band sound is perfect for the outdoor venue, but they can handle any room they’re given thanks to their tight sound and arrangements.
Irish Punk & More
British punk firecracker Lucie May is a force to be reckoned with. Known for her wild shows, May brought a punk rock setlist (complete with “Cherry Bomb” and “One Way or Another”) and even busted out her best Irish dance to celebrate her new shoes. If you like your performers wild and unpredictable, check her schedule often.
Musician’s Musical
The Composers Showcase at Myron’s at the Smith Center welcomes Go-Go’s star Gina Shock as its guest of the night on Wednesday. This ongoing series showcases original songs by many of Vegas’ best musicians is a must for anyone who loves songwriters.
Vegas Vegas Vegas
From Renee Hale’s 55 years to the ever-changing entertainment landscape, Las Vegas is a city that constantly reinvents itself while holding fast to its icons and traditions. Whether you’re enjoying a free afternoon show, dancing to punk rock or reminiscing about old comedy headliners, Vegas has something for everyone. And that’s what makes Las Vegas Vegas Vegas.
