Looking for a more intimate pool experience? Park MGM’s pools have you covered. There may be three pools on the grounds, but the cozy surroundings give off a homey vibe, being surrounded by trees and other thoughtful touches. This beautiful complex is decorated with leafy murals set against a white backdrop. After getting a Las Vegas Strip breakfast, take in the cool mint decor as you relax under umbrellas on your very own chaise lounge, available for rent seven days a week. The hardest part about leaving home can be leaving our furry friends behind. Park MGM proudly boasts that it is “just as obsessed” with pets as you are. The hotel allows up to two dogs per room, with a maximum combined weight of less than 100 pounds, though you will have to pay a charge per dog, plus tax. Dogs are permitted in hotel rooms and suites, however, due to health code regulations, only service dogs are allowed in public areas such as restaurants, the spa, and pool – with the exception of guests that are just passing through these areas. Park MGM also offers Doggie Butler Services in which a hotel representative will spend some time with your pet while you are at a meeting or relaxing poolside. The Park MGM concierge will also arrange dog walking services if needed. Park MGM also provides guests with a designated Pet Relief Area outside, between the hotel and T-Mobile Arena.

History
The late 1980s and early 90s were a time of upheaval for resorts in Las Vegas. An influx of adjustments made experiences a little more PG-rated On The Strip, and these changes would become a common thread throughout the first half of the decade. But with Luxor, Treasure Island, MGM Grand, and Excalibur attracting middle class families from all over the country, the Strip’s appetite for middle-class schmaltz was approaching its limit by the mid 90s. The Dunes Casino, acquired and then closed by Mirage Resorts in 1993, was demolished, leaving a wide open space for what would become the Monte Carlo, a Monaco-themed resort that struck a balance between Vegas kitsch and a more adult-oriented, classic resort-style amenities.
This formula worked for a very long time. Monte Carlo appealed to visitors that never really wanted Las Vegas to change, even if they may have appreciated the shift away from the sleaze that dominated much of Las Vegas’s identity in the 1980s. But as with many things on the Las Vegas Strip, every era recedes to make way for a new one. By the mid 2000s, the family friend aura of the strip gave way to a more adult-oriented, hedonistic one, and we need not look any further than the infamous “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” tagline to understand the message Vegas was happy to send during this time.
Needless to say, the Monte Carlo was due for a facelift by 2016, and that was exactly what MGM Resorts decided to do that year. Over the course of the following 2 years, Monte Carlo morphed into Park MGM, an upscale, stylish resort that resembles the atmosphere of a boutique hotel in Manhattan rather than a cheeky imitation of a French Riviera casino. Megastars Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars launched wildly successful residencies, a luxury boutique hotel called NoMad opened at the casino’s uppermost floors, new dining and entertainment was introduced, and Park MGM also managed to make history by being the first resort On The Strip to be smoke-free. And that is before we even get to the shopping, brand new spaces, and Eataly [more than these later]. All in all, a reinvention well executed.
The Resort
Rooms and Suites
Park MGM’s attention to detail is on full display in their resort rooms. These rooms offer fine touches and minimalist luxury, with artwork, bright spaces, stylish furniture and an intimacy not often seen On The Stip. Pools
For long summer days and intense UV rays, Park MGM has it all covered. Equipped with 3 pools, 2 bars, and plenty of lounging spots, Park MGM can provide an escape within an escape with its plentiful pool amenities. Craft cocktails are available at your beck and call, and there is plenty of shade, whether in the form of personal cabanas or the classic, desert palms overhead.
Cabanas and Daybeds
The need for your own space is understandable, so Park MGM does not skimp on this when it comes to their pool lounging amenities. Lounge chairs are available for reservation, with special cushions. These can be reserved in pairs. Daybeds are a step up, with plush seating that is available by reservation for up to 4 guests.
Next, we have pod daybeds, located at Park MGM’s south pool. These can be reserved for 3 guests. Last, but certainly not least, Park MGM provides stylish, chilled out cabanas for reservation, so you and your friends can bask in the Mojave desert heat and kick back with some Frosè. These can be reserved for up to 10 guests.
The Park Bungalow
Consider this the cabana that the other cabanas at Park MGM are jealous of. The bungalow fits up to 10 guests and has all the amenities of a hotel suite, with 6 chaise lounge chairs, 2 umbrellas, a dedicated server, and a personal safe.
Dolby Live
Located on the casino floor, the Dolby Live theater at Park MGM is the site of modern icons, be it Lady Gaga or Bruno Mars. This 5,200 seat theater is equipped with a Dolby Atmos state of the art sound system, perfectly calibrated for a heart pounding, thrilling experiencing no matter what artist or show you get the privilege to watch. Phones are off limits in this theater, ensuring everyone gets to take in the show the way they were meant to.
Parking
Parking for Park MGM guests is part of the 24 hour parking fee and provides in and out privileges, and can be charged to your room. Self parking and valet apply to this fee, and it can be used at MGM resorts throughout Las Vegas, allowing you the convenience to park wherever you choose at any MGM resort. For short term parking, the first hour is free, with a $12 charge for one to four hours, and $15 for four to 24 hours after that, with an $18 fee for any parking over 24 hours. Nevada residents receive complimentary parking for the first 3 hours and then subject to the above rates.

Rideshare is available for guests at the North section of Park MGM. Proceed to the bell desk from the lobby and veer right, you will see the rideshare pickup area.
