  The Citrus Grand Pool Deck is a unique pool experience in Las Vegas. You won’t find anything like it, even on the Strip, where swimming pools are an impressive display. What the Downtown Grand’s pool complex lacks in expansiveness, it makes up for in personality and playfulness. It was awarded the best downtown pool award in 2020 by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.   Located on top of the casino, the pool deck features a heated infinity pool surrounded by loungers, daybeds, and private cabanas. A nearby grassy area provides more shaded seating and backyard games like corn hole, table tennis, and many more. You’ll find a fire pit available during certain hours.   A restaurant and full bar at the Citrus Grand pool deck serve up various citrus-themed meals and beverages. The pool menu includes appetizers, burgers, desserts, signature cocktails, beer, wine, and even Jell-O shots. There are vegetarian meal options as well. Cabana guests can order premium liquors or bottle service to keep the party going.   Hotel guests can access the “pool party paradise” free of charge, while non-guests can visit with a daybed or cabana rental. This keeps the number of visitors down so that those staying at the hotel have the best experience.

Balcony Options at the Downtown Grand

  Guests looking for a balcony to enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful lights of downtown Las Vegas should opt for the two-bedroom penthouse suite at the Downtown Grand. These suites are all located on the eighth floor, giving you the perfect panorama of the nearby resorts and the hustle and bustle of the streets below.   These balconies are accessed from the main living area of the penthouse, making it another excellent feature for those looking to entertain from their suite. Balconies are pretty long, extending the entire length of the living area, giving ample space to mingle with others or relax and enjoy the view.   Those who wish to smoke from their Downtown Grand accommodations can only do so from a penthouse with a balcony. Ensure that the door is closed while smoking and clean up any ashes during your stay. Ashtrays aren’t provided, so you will need to bring your own or find one at a nearby convenience store or souvenir shop, which are easy to find on Fremont Street.   Penthouse suites with a balcony offer a great view from the outside, but the view from indoors is limited due to the balcony’s railing. Suites without a balcony don’t provide access to the outside but do feature unobstructed views.

Downtown Grand is a Pet Friendly Hotel

Downtown Grand offers pet-friendly Deluxe King and Deluxe Queen rooms equipped with food and water bowls for those guests staying with up to two dogs. Guests traveling with dogs are welcome at the Downtown Grand, where several pet-friendly Deluxe Queen and Deluxe King rooms are available. In addition to the standard in-room amenities, you will find food and water bowls and a mat already in the room waiting for you. There is a weight limit of 50 pounds per pet, and you may have up to two pets in the room. A small daily fee is applied to your rate. These rooms start at 350 square feet and include comfortable beds with soft, high thread count linens and supportive foam pillows. SNOOZ White Noise Machines allow you and your pups to get a restful night’s sleep with ultimate relaxation. You’ll find two complimentary bottles of water, replenished daily with housekeeping, in your room. Deluxe guest rooms at the Downtown Grand include a wardrobe, built-in desk, large-screen TV, and upscale decor. USB outlets are located at each nightstand and the desk. Bathrooms may have either a shower/tub combo or a walk-in shower. Plush towels and complimentary toiletries are provided. Only specific Deluxe King and Deluxe Queen rooms are pet-friendly, so choose this option when booking your room. Dogs must be on leashes while in the hotel or casino.

You will enjoy much cheaper rates than on-Strip resorts while having on-site access to restaurants, bars, and the Citrus Grand Pool Deck. Being so close to the excitement of downtown means that there’s always something to do, day or night, while the North Strip is never far away.

Guest rooms feature a modern and upscale decor that is refreshing and relaxing. While you will find all the most essential in-room amenities, like conveniently placed USB outlets and a built-in desk with a wardrobe, there’s not much extra room. Rooms range from 350 to 375 square feet but are thoughtfully arranged to allow you to move around comfortably and unwind. Suites at the Downtown Grand are also on the small side compared to other nearby resorts but offer more space than the guest rooms.

For a truly unique experience in Las Vegas, the virtual experience rooms are one-of-a-kind. Still, they are pretty affordable compared to other distinctive hotel options and are primarily due to these rooms’ smaller sizes.

Even though the accommodations are smaller, you won’t feel cramped staying here. You may find plenty more to keep you busy and away from your room or suite. Downtown Grand is a Family-Friendly Hotel

Families are welcomed at the Downtown Grand, with plenty of amenities to make staying here with children a pleasant experience.

Although at least one guest in the room or suite must be over 21, children are welcome to stay up to the maximum occupancy. All rooms are non-smoking and, if needed, connecting rooms can be arranged. Suites provide more space for families needing to set up playpens or portable children’s beds. Guests can check in early for a small fee, making it easier for families with small children and extra luggage to get settled when they arrive.

You can add a Bed & Breakfast Package to any stay that allows you a bill credit for each night in your room or suite. Simply order your breakfast through room service, and at the end of your stay, the credit will be applied for each day you ordered a meal. This credit is per room, not per guest; however, it allows families to prepare for their day without finding a place to eat.

You don’t have to go far for other meals. The Art Bar serves a continental breakfast in a unique setting surrounded by art. Pizza Rock is a family favorite for lunch and dinner, serving gourmet pizza and burgers. Downtown Grand is on the North of the Strip

At the Downtown Grand, you not only have easy access to the North Strip resorts, but you are right in the middle of downtown Las Vegas and the Arts District.

Downtown Las Vegas and the Arts District is a bustling center of gaming, dining, and unique attractions you won’t find on the Strip. You are right in the middle of it at the Downtown Grand and still relatively close to the North Strip and resorts like the STRAT and Circus Circus.

To explore Las Vegas Boulevard more thoroughly and much faster. You can catch the Monorail there and stop at six other conveniently located stations farther south. We recommend a multi-day pass if you are in town for a while.

However, if you want to stick closer to “home,” you can always check out the Viva Vision light show at the Fremont Street Experience. The large, domed screen overhead produces a crazy display of lights every hour, right in line with what you’d expect in Las Vegas. On Fremont Street, you will also find live music nightly, walk-up bars, street performances, and access to many downtown casinos. The Slotzilla Zipline offers a unique and thrilling perspective on the Fremont Street Experience!

Also nearby the Downtown Grand is the Mob Museum across the street to the north, on Stewart Avenue. Vegas has a storied past with strong ties to the mob, so you won’t want to miss that. Neonopolis offers shopping, entertainment, dining, and nightlife in a unique shopping mall setting.
